The philosophy of House Agricutural Consultants has always been to keep it simple but make it work. With this in mind, our services incorporate three disciplines.
- Agricultural science applies scientific methods to the physical variables affecting crops. This includes includes studies of crop production practices, agronomy, soil science, and water science. Such analyses allow us to make recommendations on crop-system design and land improvements for our clients.
- Agricultural economics addresses the business of farming after the crop is grown. This includes studies of crop yields, market dynamics, eligeability for government programs, leasing costs and market value, econonic feasibilities, and production costs. The diverse backgrounds of our staff offer our clients a broad perspective on agricultural business.
- Sustainable agriculture brings the humanity back into farming. In this category, sustainable farming practices and farmland preservation can ensure the continuation of the farming heritage. Organic farming and integrated pest management offer alternatives to the heavy chemical use typical of much modern agriculture. Wildlife enhancement, habitat restoration, and hedgerows bring the beauty of nature back to into farmscapes. We have successfully implemented many such options for our clients.
Our services integrate these three disciplines. Our thirty years of experience in these disciplines allows us to combine the practical and academic aspects of each in our services for the benefit of our clients.
